PeSal Balett
PeSal Balett
PeSal offers two ballet groups:
Mondays 17:00–17:50: Ballet class for children aged 10–16, no previous ballet or dance experience required.
Mondays 18:00–18:50: Ballet class for young people aged 6–12; some prior experience in ballet or dance is recommended for this group.
PeSal’s ballet teacher Anna Korotysheva is a dance instructor, choreographer, and dancer, and a member of STST.
She studied classical ballet at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg (1979–1987) and trained as a ballet teacher at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory (1995–2000).
Anna danced with the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg from 1987 to 2008 and performed internationally with the Kirov Ballet, including as a soloist in several productions. She has worked as a ballet teacher and choreographer at the conservatory’s student theatre (1995–2000) and with rhythmic gymnastics and figure skating groups in St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. Since 2010, she has taught at Jyväskylä Tanssiopisto and Dance Center Palokka.
Anna seeks to pass on not only the Vaganova technique but also knowledge of classical ballet and respect for traditional style. She encourages her students to do their best and introduces new challenges once goals are reached. She describes herself as a precise, caring, and warmhearted teacher.
